Cover Reveal: NEVER JUDGE A LADY BY HER COVER by Sarah MacLean

Before I get around to posting my Throwback Thursday post (much later today), I couldn’t resist revealing the cover for Sarah MacLean‘s Never Judge a Lady By Her Cover – for a second time. I shared this waaayyy earlier on Facebook, but it’s such an amazing cover with an equally amazing blurb that I HAD to share it twice!

This is the last in the Rules of Scoundrels series—Chase’s story!

She is the most powerful woman in Britain,
A queen of the London Underworld …
But no one can ever know.

He is the only man smart enough to uncover the truth,
Putting all she has at risk . . .
Including her heart.

By day, she is Lady Georgiana, sister to a Duke, ruined before her first season in the worst kind of scandal. But the truth is far more shocking—in London’s darkest corners, she is Chase, the mysterious, unknown founder of the city’s most legendary gaming hell. For years, her double identity has gone undiscovered . . . until now.

Brilliant, driven, handsome-as-sin Duncan West is intrigued by the beautiful, ruined woman who is somehow connected to a world of darkness and sin. He knows she is more than she seems and he vows to uncover all of Georgiana’s secrets, laying bare her past, threatening her present, and risking all she holds dear . . . including her heart.

When it was revealed that Chase was a woman at the end of book three of the series, No Good Duke Goes Unpunished, I just knew it had to be Georgina – or maybe I just really, really wanted it to be her. I’ve been waiting for Georgina’s story for a very long time, but I knew it would be a while – after all, she was only seventeen when she was first introduced in Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart (Love by Numbers book 3). But Georgina had been through an awful thought for being so young, and I just knew someone as strong as her needed her own story.

For those of you who need a reminder – and this may be a spoiler for those who haven’t read the Love by Number series, so if you don’t want what I’m sure will be a crucial part of this novel spoiled… avert your eyes…

Georgina is the younger sister of Simon Pearson, who was seduced and abandoned – and also gave birth to a baby girl in her brother’s novel.

Now you know why I’m so intrigued by this upcoming novel.

Plus, it’s the first time that a heroine in trousers has been featured on the cover of a historical romance – at least, this is the first time I’ve seen it.

What are your thoughts on this novel? And are there more covers with trouser-wearing historical romance heroines? Do share!
