Readers’ Watchlist: INTO THE FIRE by Jeaniene Frost

23586994Jeaniene Frost is concluding her Night Prince series and word is that the new release date for Into the Fire is February 28, 2017. It’s been a long wait and is still going to be a lot longer…I confess, I have completely forgotten where the story ended off, so I may have to read the previous books before I get this one. (But I think I’ll wait until its closer to the release date so I don’t have to live too long with withdrawal symptoms…breaking a book habit is hard and I really don’t want to.)

For nearly six hundred years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad’s new bride against him.

A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila’s closest friends against them…and finally tearing the lovers apart forever.

Has anyone else been keeping up with the Night Prince series?

Vlad’s Back, Baby! (aka Blurb Reveal)

So we finally have a blurb for Jeaniene Frost‘s Bound by Flames, the third and final book of the Night Prince series and it sounds like this is going to be one EPIC finale!

PLAY WITH FIRE, PAY THE PRICE…

Leila’s years on the carnie circuit were certainly an education. What she didn’t learn: how to be a vampire, or how to be married to the most famous vampire of them all. Adjusting to both has Leila teetering on a knife edge between passion and peril, and now the real danger is about to begin…

Vlad must battle with a centuries-old enemy whose reach stretches across continents and whose strength equals his own. It isn’t like Vlad to feel fear, but he does…for Leila, because his enemy knows she is Vlad’s greatest weakness. As friend and foe alike align against him—and his over protectiveness drives Leila away—Vlad’s love for his new bride could be the very thing that dooms them both…

I am so ready for this book, the only downside is knowing this is the end. First Cat and Bones, and now Vlad. Hopefully Ms. Frost continues to write more books in the Night Huntress World series and revisit some of these amazing, and very bad-ass, characters!

Who else is psyched for this book?

Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost: A Night Prince News Post

Hi y’all,

We’ve finally got the title reveal for the third book in the Night Prince by Jeaniene Frost. The book is officially titled Bound by Flames.

Okay, so the title did break the pattern that Once Burned and Twice Tempted had set – I was thinking Thrice something…but since this is the FINAL book in the series, we are going out with a BANG!

I was very happy with the title – but honestly, with a hero like Vlad, the title could have been something extraordinarily sappy and I would still have preordered the book. (Release date: January 26, 2015)

But that’s not all, Ms. Frost also gave us a teaser of the step back art featuring Paul Marron as Vlad:

Ah, Leila and Vlad – the only couple who could compete with Cat and Bones in the Night Huntress world, at least in my humble opinion.

Also, for a final news headline – IAN!!!!!!!!

Ms. Frost is working on Ian’s novel, but there’s nothing official yet. The heroine’s been decided and the writing is underway, but she’s not making promises that Ian’s novel will be published until everything’s in place. So my advice, let’s keep our fingers crossed!

And that’s all the Night Prince/Night Huntress news I have for now. To read the full post where Ms. Frost revealed the title and art, go here.
